PASSIONATE DEFENSE REPRESENTATION

Let's Change The Outcome

South Carolina man charged with possession

Drug charges are a serious matter, no matter which state you live in and South Carolina is no exception. While the severity of the penalties for conviction can vary dramatically depending on state laws and the type and quantity of the drugs involved, it can still be life-changing.

Not only might you face significant fines and possible prison time, but you also keep a permanent mark on your record. This can affect your job prospects, college options and even where you are allowed to live.

For one man in Rock Hill, this could become a reality. The 26-year-old was arrested on charges relating to firearms and drugs after a police search allegedly turned up ammunition, scales and several ounces of marijuana in a bedroom. A firearm was also found on the young man’s person, despite a prior conviction which resulted in him being barred from possessing a gun.

The search, which was carried out following permission from the suspect’s mother, is also said to have revealed over $3,000 in cash. A previous marijuana conviction for possession and intent to distribute may mean that he faces more serious penalties if convicted again.

A drug conviction can turn your life upside-down. If you face charges, you may benefit from the wisdom of an attorney. He or she can advise you about the potential penalties you could face and may be able to assist you with forming your defense. With good guidance and a strong defense, you may be able to avoid conviction altogether.
