PASSIONATE DEFENSE REPRESENTATION

Let's Change The Outcome

3 arrested following South Carolina drug raids

In order to crack down on drug use and distribution, drug enforcement officers will often raid properties that come under suspicion of drug activity. If evidence of drug activity is found during a raid, the property owners and other people within the raided property may be arrested on drug charges. But what if you become implicated in a drug crime simply by residing at a property? You may find yourself facing a criminal investigation even if you were completely uninvolved.

Three people were arrested following recent raids in South Carolina. A 20-year-old woman and two men, aged 27 and 53, were taken to a detention center in Lexington County after their homes were purportedly found to contain evidence related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine. The searches are also said to have turned up a quantity of marijuana, as well as some firearms and stolen vehicles. The raids occurred following an undercover investigation police conducted.

The suspects are now faced with the worry of potential conviction and the consequences that could stem from it. They face charges related to weapon possession, as well as various drug charges.

When faced with these types of charges, what you do next can be vital. If you are facing drug charges, you may find a South Carolina attorney can be of assistance as you work to build your defense. He or she can help you present a strong case and advise you on how to plead. With the right guidance, you may be able to avoid conviction or at least receive a more lenient sentence.
